MAIN CHALLENGES:

• Follow and resume the up-coming amendments in the applicable European and Bulgarian legislation in the Compliance domains in scope of the department, evaluate the effect of such changes on the activity of the PIC UBB
• Evaluate and analyze compliance risks in the areas of data protection, ethics and corporate governance according to internal methodology
• Perform compliance monitoring program - CMP (compliance “audit”) in different business processes in the PIC UBB, analyze the weaknesses noticed during such checks, prepare reports and make recommendations to address the gaps in line with the requirements of the internal regulations and the applicable legislation
• Support in carrying out the data protection impact assessments, tests for balancing of interests and other regulatory requirements to the PIC UBB as data controller
• Participate in the development, implementation and updating of procedures and tools in accordance with the requirements of the applicable local legislation and KBC Group Standards for the implementation of data protection and corporate governance strategy
• Support and advise the structural units on issues related to the effective execution of the requirements of the applicable legislation in the areas of competence of the department
• Participate in projects and other local or group wide Data Protection and/or Ethics and Corporate Governance related initiatives
• Perform any ad hoc duties as advised by the Head of Compliance related to the responsibilities entrusted

COPETENCES WE LOOK FOR:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Economics or a related field
• English language at a professional level both spoken and written is a must
• 2+ years experience with focus on Data Protection, preferably within Financial or Banking sectors
• Working knowledge of the Data Protection legislation and financial sector legislation
• Good knowledge of corporate governance rules in the financial/banking sector and the applicable regulations
• Strong analytical skills to use data/metrics for controls monitoring
• Good verbal and communication skills
• Solid proficiency across MS Office applications, technical literacy
• Capability to take ownership of task/projects
• Comfortable with tight deadlines and pressure environment
• Highly motivated
• Team driven and results orientated
• Able to exercise sound judgment and observe the highest degree of confidentiality
