Calculations are approximate and do not guarantee future results. The calculations are developed under the following conditions and assumptions:

• The calculation is made on the assumption that the person makes contributions every month.
• The monthly contribution to the UPF is 5% of the insurable income.
• The maximum insurance income for the current year is BGN 3 750.
• The amount of the management fee (deduction) in the UPF is 3.75% of each new contribution.
• The amount of the investment fee in the UPF is 0.75% per annum of the net asset value of the UPF.
• The rate of the management fee for the Life Annuity Fund and the Term Annuity Fund shall be 0.5% per annum of the net asset value of the respective fund.
• The return for the period of insurance is net of the above investment fee.
• The value of the technical interest rate used to determine the old-age life pension is 0.5% per annum.
• The mortality table published by the National Statistical Institute (NSI) for the period 2020-2022 has been used to determine the old-age pension for life.
• The retirement age is in line with the retirement conditions for retirement under Article 68(1) of the Social Security Code. By 2024, the age and length of service requirements are: - for men, attainment of the age of 64 years and 7 months; for women, attainment of the age of 62 years and 2 months. • Retirement age is rounded to a whole number. Example: if a person is due to retire at 62 years and 5 months, their retirement age is rounded down to 62; and if a person is due to retire at 62 years and 6 months, their retirement age is rounded up to 63.
• The minimum amount of the lifetime old-age pension is currently 87.09 BGN per month and the maximum amount of the deferred payment is 580.57 BGN per month.
• The period in years of guaranteed payment is from 2 to 10 years.
• When updated, the pension paid cannot be lower than the minimum amount.
